Job Description

The systems engineer provides the business knowledge and technical skills to implement technical strategies, evaluate products and provide a superior level of technical support that benefit PDA programs and products



* Possess a broad Technical Capacity by applying domain knowledge and experience in a computing system design environment

* Communication Proficiency both written and oral

* Maintain a strong customer/client focus; analyze user needs and requirements

* Applicants must be a "U.S. Persons" as defined in International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). A "U.S. Person" is a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or an individual who has been admitted as a refugee or granted asylum



* Understanding of company goals and objectives

* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment including co-worker, contractor, and customer

* Willingness to self-develop and maintain additional skills required to perform position

* Maintain and communicate status for all active projects



* Develop & perform SE evaluations, trade studies, and to recommend implementation

* Transform customer requirements into specifications

* Coordinates and/or performs additions and changes to hardware and software and attached systems; includes investigation, analysis, recommendation, configuration, installation and testing of new hardware and software

* Provides direct support in the day-to-day operations on hardware and software development; duties include evaluation of system utilization, monitoring response time and primary support for detection and correction of operational problems

* Participates in planning design, technical review and implementation for new hardware and operating systems for new and existing system designs

* Maintains system design standards

* Provides technical guidance, training, and support to Engineering staff as designated by the project lead



* Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or related field

* 4+ years of experience in relevant field
