Job Description

Manpower is currently seeking a Talent Acquisition Advisor for a long-term contract opportunity with a major petro-chemical client located in Calgary, AB. This position is a hybrid role working in office on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday while working remotely on Monday and Friday.

What will you be doing?

* Conduct recruitment kick-off meetings to set expectations with hiring teams on the recruitment process

* Provide value-added talent acquisition related advice, guidance and training to hiring managers and hiring teams to ensure fairness in the recruitment process while challenging them to make the best hire possible

* Ensure selection decisions are defensible and in compliance with established principles, practices, employment legislation and if applicable, provisions under the collective agreement

* Provide innovative solutions to build talent pipelines for key and critical roles

* Able to leverage technologies to locate, engage, and attract prospective candidates e.g., social media, niche job boards and other industry channels to source talent

* Build relationships and trust to work effectively with hiring leaders and teams, provide ongoing status updates and be prepared to address issues in a direct and collaborative way

* Provide expertise on the development of interview questions utilizing various behavioral, situational, and values-based questions as appropriate

* Participate in the selection process (post interview debriefs) with the hiring teams and facilitate the offer process with the hiring leader

* Ensure the recruitment process is efficient and completed in a timely manner, to minimize the time to hire

What will you bring?

* A Bachelor's degree in business / management or related discipline preferably in Human Resources and a minimum of 8+ years of full-cycle recruitment experience in a related industry. Consideration may be made for individuals with Human Resources Business Partner experience complemented by at least 4 years of full cycle recruiting and advising experience.

* Superior communication (writing and verbal) and facilitation skills to coach, challenge, influence, and guide teams through decision making

* Ability to lead 30+ requisitions on an on-going basis through full-cycle recruitment

* Results oriented with ability to proactively anticipate issues and take initiative to recommend solutions

* Previous experience with SAP and Applicant Tracking Systems (i.e., SuccessFactors) is an asset
