* 2nd Shift: 3:30pm-12am

* Overtime available!



What you can expect each day:



* Performs a variety of operations such as sharpen and maintain dies. Make machine replacement parts for production equipment as required. Build fixtures for production requirements. Be active in shop and plant safety. Participate in designing guards, fixtures and assembly devices with fellow associates for production requirements.

* Plan and construct a limited variety of simple tools, dies, jigs and fixtures.

* Observe, follow instructions and assist more skilled and experienced die maker in the construction of complicated tooling and dies.

* Attend necessary academic courses or demonstrate proficiency to progress to tool and die maker II level maintaining a passing grade average.

* Responsible for maintaining a variety of machine tools such as gauges, instruments, sine bars, engine lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses and cutting tools.

* Responsible for machinery, tools, dies, fixtures or gauges of extremely intricate design or construction.

* Numerous and varied set-ups with work mounted on face-plates of lathes, grinders, etc. Improper detachment of work may fly out of improper tool try out may cause lost-time accident to others.

* Assist and instruct trainees in their progression to this level by on the job instruction and demonstration of good work practices.



Requirements:



* Must provide own steel toe boots/shoes, all other PPE gear will be provided to you when you start.

* Successful completion of certified two-year journeyman machinist training program.

* A minimum of two-years experience and/or demonstrated ability in the tool room machinist field with welding experience desired to be eligible for this position.

* High school diploma or equivalent.
