Job Description
Function & Responsibility:
Independently set up and operate manual tubing benders to produce high purity gas lines per engineering drawing specifications.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Interpret engineering drawings and setup the bender with the required tooling. * Operated a Di-Acro manual tube bender. * Use measuring tools such as calipers and height gauges to inspect parts to the required dimensions and tolerances. * Collaborates with engineers, production personnel, programmers, maintenance or others to resolve fabrication issues. * May provide training to other team members. * Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
Ability to setup and operate a manual tube bender * Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements. * Understanding of basic GD&T principles. * Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such multiplication and trigonometry as fabrication requires. * Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. * Ability to work with team members. * Ability to take direction from supervisor. * Ability to keep required job schedules. * Ability to focus attention on details.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Previous experience in a manufacturing environment * Previous experience operating a Di-Acro manual bender
Minimum Qualifications
* High school diploma
* 2-3 years minimum related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
