Job Summary

The Workforce Manager position supports the safety and wellbeing of Abbott Laboratories essential personnel through coordinating and validating a team of roughly 30 Temperature Screeners across four Twin Cities sites and one site in Atlanta Georgia. Temperature Screeners man every entrance across these sites during hours of operation to ensure every employee, contractor, and visitor follows a strict entrance protocol including a check for fever and providing proof of a weekly, Abbott-provided COVID-19 test.

The Workforce Manager position is responsible for the training, scheduling, and ongoing performance management of the Temperature Screener team. This includes both in-person hands-on observation, as well as remote delegation to Lead Screeners at each site. The Workforce Manager is also responsible for personally covering screening shifts as needed.

In addition to working with Manpower associates, the Workforce Manager will also serve as the liaison to Abbott Laboratories site staff for all communication related to the Screening process. This includes updating the Screening team on new protocols, addressing feedback on Screeners from site personnel, collecting and reporting compliance data, and being the emergency contact in case of a Screener no-show.
