Our client, an innovative leader in autonomous vehicle technology, is seeking a Issue Resolution Engineer to join their team. As a Issue Resolution Engineer, you will be part of the Manufacturing Support Department supporting Vehicle Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Issue Resolution Engineer - Autonomous Test Fleet Pre-Production

Location: Fremont, CA

Pay Range: $77/hour + Benefits

What's the Job?

  • Lead triage, containment, and resolution planning for issues identified during general assembly and end-of-line testing of autonomous test fleet and pre-production robotaxi vehicles.
  • Define and implement short-term containment actions, including rework plans, part quarantine, and build flow protection measures.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to conduct root cause analysis across design, process, supplier, and manufacturing domains, and drive design for manufacturing improvements.
  • Support prototype builds, production trials, and engineering changes to validate fixes and enhance manufacturability.
  • Develop and maintain metrics, dashboards, and reporting tools to monitor issue health, closure rates, and recurrence, improving issue tracking and prioritization processes.

What's Needed?

  • B.S. or M.S. degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
  • 6-8 years of experience in automotive OEMs, robotics, aviation, or other complex hardware systems within manufacturing, product engineering, or sustaining environments.
  • Strong understanding of OEM vehicle electrical systems, wiring harnesses, control units, sensors, and mechanical systems.
  • Proven experience leading root cause analysis and corrective actions in production or field environments, including new product launch support.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
