Phlebotomist III - Floater

Location: Kansas City, MO

Pay Rate: $28/hr

Employment Type: Contingent with potential pathway for hire

Schedule: Central shift varies; start times may be as early as 7:30am and as late as 5:30pm

What You'll Do

• Collect high-quality blood specimens through venipuncture and capillary collections
• Process and prepare clinical and forensic specimens for laboratory testing
• Verify patient demographics and ensure accurate specimen labeling in the patient's presence
• Maintain accurate records and documentation while following established procedures
• Provide excellent patient care and create a safe, professional, and welcoming environment
• Travel between multiple patient service centers and physician office locations as needed
• Perform daily activities accurately and on time while working independently with minimal supervision
• Promote a positive image to patients, clients, coworkers, and the public

What We're Looking For

• A current, up-to-date resume
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Keyboard and data entry experience
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel between locations with minimal notice
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record, if applicable
• Ability to meet compliance requirements
