Our client, a leading facility management organization, is seeking an Operating Engineer to join their team. As an Operating Engineer, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting building operations and ensuring optimal functionality of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical proficiency, initiative, and adaptability, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Operating Engineer

Location: Irving, TX

Pay Range: $32 to $34 per hour

What's the Job?

  • Perform all plumbing, electrical, and HVAC requirements of the building(s)
  • Maintain heating equipment, chillers, DX units, pumps, cooling towers, and air distribution systems
  • Monitor and adjust mechanical and pneumatic equipment to ensure a comfortable environment
  • Inspect and perform repairs or adjustments to field conditions and equipment
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations and customer concerns to maintain safety and operational integrity

What's Needed?

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of 5+ years of related experience in operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial setting
  • Appropriate trade license or permit, such as Journeyman or Master Electrician License, Refrigeration Certificate of Fitness, or similar
  • Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and perform physical tasks required for maintenance and repairs
