Design Release Engineer - Intermediate

Our client, a leading automotive engineering organization, is seeking a Design & Release Engineer to join their team. As a Design & Release Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting Product Development and Vehicle Integration teams. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and excellent problem-solving abilities, which will align successfully in the organization. 

Job Title: 

Design & Release Engineer (Fascia / Bumper / Grill) 

Location: 

Auburn Hills, MI 

Pay Range: 

$42/hour (Contract) 

What’s the Job? 

• Lead design and release of exterior automotive components (fascia, bumper, grille) 

• Manage development timelines and support full product lifecycle 

• Perform design validation using CAE and physical testing 

• Support pilot builds and production launch activities 

• Troubleshoot and resolve fit, finish, and performance issues 

Must-Have Requirements  

• 2–3+ years of engineering experience 

• Automotive industry experience 

• Experience with CAD tools (NX or Teamcenter) 

• Experience with exterior or interior automotive systems 

• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills 

What’s Needed? 

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or 5+ years of relevant experience) 

• Plastics experience (highly preferred) 

• Experience working cross-functionally 

• Strong communication skills 

• Ability to learn internal systems
