Our client, a leading organization in the education sector, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Paralegal to join their team. As a Jr. Paralegal, you will be an integral part of the Litigation Department supporting legal professionals in managing complex case documentation and compliance processes. The ideal candidate will have a paralegal certification and 4-5 years of litigation, eDiscovery, and/or employment law, demonstrate strong organizational skills, proactive communication, and meticulous attention to detail, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: Jr. Paralegal
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Pay Range: $31-$43 per hour
Duration: 10 months
Shift: 8am - 5pm, Monday through Friday (1 - 2 days per week in office)
What's the Job?
- Review and redact records to respond to public records requests and subpoenas efficiently and accurately.
- Develop and maintain detailed tracking charts, including document dates, custodians of records, and case attorneys.
- Organize large-scale document productions to facilitate review and reporting on case statuses.
- Communicate with clients to gather relevant records and provide updates on case progress.
- Utilize Adobe Acrobat for Bates numbering, redactions, and electronic document organization.
What's Needed?
- Paralegal Certification
- Minimum of 4-5 years of direct experience in a firm performing litigation, eDiscovery, and/or employment law
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, including Bates numbering and redaction techniques.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills to manage complex case files and documentation.
- Proactive communication skills for liaising with clients and internal teams.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions carefully and execute tasks accurately.
- Experience handling legal records, subpoenas, and evidence preservation processes is preferred but not mandatory.
