    The Facility Technician is responsible for handling and performing a variety of non-technical maintenance, painting, carpentry, custodial, plumbing, general repair, and other handy-person tasks at facility or complex. This role is expected to supervise, lead, and train other non-technical, non-licensed staff including Maintenance Helpers in the completion of a variety of building/facility maintenance and repair tasks.
    Responsibilities:
    * Performs general repairs and services in all maintenance related disciplines, including; carpentry, plumbing, minor electrical, finish work, painting, custodial, etc.
    * Performs facility mail, shipping and receiving duties as detailed on mail operations scope of work when required.
    * Coordinates with other technicians in the repair and service of building and central plant equipment. Handles the non-technical repairs of the facility.
    * Expected to promptly respond and assign appropriate resources to handle non-technical tenant requests (e.g., hanging pictures, desk repairs, ceiling repairs, etc.).
    * Expected to support the various trade personnel at a facility or complex in the performance and completion of their duties as needed and assigned.
    * Helps to ensure all building and maintenance policies, procedures, SOP's, codes, regulations, etc. are followed and enforced including safety systems and standards.
    * May be required to respond to restroom service requests.
    * May be required to pick up supplies from area supplier when requested
    Requirements:
    Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    * At least 1 to 3 years of mechanical experience preferably in a commercial or industrial facility with an emphasis in facility maintenance plus experience with electrical, building equipment and building repairs.
    * Prior supervisory experience and computer knowledge is necessary. State Driver's license required
    * Must be physically capable of performing the duties of the position including bending, squatting, stretching and lifting up to 25 pounds on a regular basis. On occasion, may be required to lift items weighing 50 to 100 pounds.
    * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

    * Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, tenants, client representatives or employees of C&W.

    Job Description
    RESPONSIBILITIES
    * Work with and supervise facilities technicians in carrying out duties, to ensure client requests are fulfilled and primary job responsibilities are performed.
    * Become familiar with Cushman & Wakefield policies and procedures and Client policies and procedures as they relate to your position and job description.
    * Conduct employee moves and furniture installations, including vendor management.
    * Become familiar with the layout of the facilities, location of storage rooms, shops, conference rooms, labs, data centers, mechanical and equipment rooms, and loading dock.
    * Maintain and ensure that all facilities storage rooms are neat, clean, and well-organized at all times.
    * Respond to customers, vendors, and fellow employees in a professional, courteous and timely manner in carrying out your assigned duties.
    * Check the work order system daily for work requests assigned to facilities technicians. Work with technicians to coordinate work and re-assign work requests as necessary to facilitate completion on a timely basis.

    * Perform and manage daily resets of conference rooms, and inspections for needed repairs.

    * Oversee and assist with after hour painting.
    * Work with Facilities Manager and the Space Planner to coordinate and carry out large scale moves and reconfiguration.
    * Work with Event Coordinators in setting furniture for events (regular and after-hours) and reset Manage coordination and organization of storage areas.
    * Attend weekly staff meetings and monthly safety meetings. Observe safety procedures and endeavor to maintain an accident-free environment.
    * Know the assigned procedures for various emergency situations and respond accordingly should they occur.
    * Maintain good appearance, wearing C&W standard uniform.
    REQUIREMENTS

    Our client, a leader in the structural and miscellaneous metals industry, has a direct hire opening for a Project Manager with construction industry experience. This role is the liaison between the company and its customers. It requires excellent communication and personnel management skills, as well as knowledge of construction and contractual obligations.

    Duties:
    * Supervise and coordinate the overall process of fabricating and erecting structural steel, miscellaneous metals, joist, and metal deck for assigned project(s).
    * Create and establish schedules that include preconstruction planning, submittals, engineering, and shop drawing creation, material procurement, and fabrication, shipping, erection, and closeout procedures.
    * Work with contractors, trades, inspectors, engineers, detailers, superintendents, and foreman to ensure the project is successfully progressing
    * Maintain positive client relationships and communicate effectively with all parties associated with the project
    * Read specifications and blue prints to determine the locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required.
    * Communicate and coordinate with other project contractors to maintain schedule, deliver of materials, and mitigate design conflicts.
    * Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in steel construction; of safety, quality, and cost control standards and procedures
    * Ability to understand and apply varying levels of mathematics as applicable to the position
    * Issue corrective action notices to subcontractors, as required, to enforce company and/or project guidelines/policies.
    * Document and maintain correspondence to ensure an organized paper trail.
    Qualifications:
    * Construction or Engineering degree with minimum of 3-5 years' experience in construction project management preferred, knowledge/experience of steel fabrication/installation would be beneficial
    * Good communication skills, organized, detail oriented, motivated and self-driven
    * Must possess and maintain a current valid driver's license for daily & occasional overnight travel; ability to work occasional weekend hours
    * Possess tools to field measure, verify, and audit basic conformity standards.
    * Knowledge of applicable and proper use for the following: transit, laser lever, torpedo, torque guns, welders, gas supplied equipment, rigging and components
    * Microsoft Word and Excel +scheduling software (Microsoft Project, Primavera)
    * Knowledge of Tekla and Fabtrol is not required but a plus
