    What is the job?

    * RNA/DNA Extraction
    * Sample preparation for analysis and sequencing
    * Operate highly throughput instrumentation
    * Generate and analyze data from a variety of laboratory techniques and analytical instrumentation
    * Maintain laboratory notebooks, archives, and sample specimen repository, as applicable

    What do you bring to the job?
    * Proficiency in providing input to the best ways to maximize laboratory efficiency
    * Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university (chemistry, microbiology, biochemistry, immunology, animal science) OR 1-2 years related experience

    Lab Technician Int. / Sr.

    * Be responsible for the development of chemometric based models for the additive FTIR QC program.
    * Compound additive formulations on a small compounding line to use for the development of the calibration models.
    * Coordinate samples for LIMS testing
    * Provide plant support for QA/QC complaints and for resolving quality issues related to additive monitoring
    * Provide technical support for the FTIR equipment maintenance and operations, computers, and software applications.
    * Maintain complete and accurate records of all phases of experimental work and analyses

    To be successful in this role, as a Junior Lab Technician, you will have:
    * Technical diploma - Chemical Technology, Analytical Chemistry or related degree
    * 3-5 years' experience in analytical testing

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    * Good computer skills; familiar with Microsoft Office and skilled with Excel.
    * Customer service orientation skills are required.
    * Self starter who is organized and detail oriented.
    * Must work well in a team environment.
    * Regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
    * Frequently required to stand and walk, and occasionally required to climb or balance.
    * Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

    Junior Lab Technician

    These positions will have a start date of July / August. Shifts for these roles will be 4-5 days/nights on, 4-5 off, working 12 hour shifts.

    In this role, your responsibilities will include reactor, pelletizer and finished product testing. This will involve the use of melt indexers, presses, balances, densimeters, and optical test equipment.

    To be successful in this role, as a Junior Lab Technician, you will have:
    * Technical diploma in chemical, chemical engineering or instrumentation and/or 4th class power engineer
    * No more than 12 months working experience in a related role; candidates with more than 12 months experience will not be considered for this role
    * Basic analytical skills; use of balances, plastic testing equipment, melt indexers
    * Excellent communication skills; oral and verbal
    * Effective interpersonal skills
    * Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently
