    Position will be a QC laboratory role that is responsible for, but not limited to the following:

    * Collect, analyze, and report results for test samples of packaging components
    * Work towards learning all primary analytical methods and processes, and understand basic operation procedures utilized in the lab.
    * Organize daily work to ensure that routine testing is performed in a timely manner, and that all deadlines are met.
    * Maintain current (time of analysis), complete, and legible laboratory records per GMP regulations.
    * Communicate issues encountered with work assignments to team and Management as soon as possible.
    * Contribute to a collaborative working relationship within lab group, with production, and with other internal customers.
    * Maintain lab in a clean, organized, and safe state before leaving shift.
    * Communicate clearly and ensure paperwork is complete between shifts.
    * Work safely with hazardous materials.
    * Flexibility to work in other QC labs as needed.

    Bachelor's degree in a science related field, preferably Chemistry or Biology, or a High School Degree with equivalent laboratory skill and expertise.. The ability to organize and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously is a must. Demonstrated ability to effectively work in a team, and communicate in both written and verbal format is a necessity. Be available for any shift.

    Local company that produces green, eco-friendly cleaning supplies is seeking an Associate Claims Scientist to research and analyze product data. Position includes working collaboratively with a cross-functional team of stakeholders to research, create, support, and defend differentiated claims both brand wide and for product lines; Responsible for protecting the integrity and authenticity of the brand.

    Job Duties:

    * Collaborate with Claims and Legal team to determine a technically and legally valid support plan for product claims.
    * Work with Project Management and Consumer Science - execute the claims support plan in coordination with other product development activities.
    * Create and organize claims support documentation to substantiate technically accurate and defensible claims across all brands and product categories.
    * Manage budget and purchase order creation for claims activities.
    * Attend claims development meetings and document conversations, decisions, and actions.
    * Support legal proceedings and regulatory audits as required.
    * Manage administrative tasks associated with claims related meetings.
    * Take part in the claims review routing process, including documentation of risk assessments, working through copy revisions in collaboration with key stakeholders, and archiving approved materials.
    * Show capacity to read, understand, and implement claims standards and other SOPs.
    * Work cross-functionally with Legal, Marketing, Regulatory and others to develop and route label manuscripts.
    * Participate in Artwork review
    * Manage relationships with third party certifiers.
    * Manage all product related certifications spanning submission to maintenance including but not limited to EPA safer choice, USDA biobased, Organic, and Forest Stewardship Counsel.
    * Oversee submission and maintenance of data to third party ratings such Consumer Reports, Good Guide, and Environmental Working Group to ensure accurate representation of SVG products.

    Job Requirements:

    * 1-3 years of experience in consumer packaged goods preferred
    * Bachelor's Degree in Biological or Physical Science
    * Experience in designing, analyzing, and interpreting studies spanning various scientific disciplines to support product claims
    * Strong organizational, verbal, and written skills with intense attention to detail
    * Ability to demonstrate project management skills
    * Foundational knowledge of the Stage Gate method of new product development/innovation
    * Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints
    * Desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and for a socially responsible business
    * Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

    The Lab Technician will support product and process developers to create new products and business opportunities. This position will perform sample testing, support development of mimic testing, maintain a laboratory notebook, schedule maintenance of test equipment, and perform other duties to assist in developing new products and business opportunities. The Lab Technician will report into the Industrial and Specialty Products Technology Director.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
    * Perform various testing of standardized ISO and ASTM test methods
    * Work with product and process developers to develop new test methods or application mimic equipment and procedures.
    * Maintain a laboratory notebook to properly document data to support creation of patents, trade secrets and/or other intellectual property that provides a business advantage
    * Interface with various personal to accomplish new product development: production, supply chain, customers, suppliers, and science and technology
    * Schedule and supervise maintenance of test equipment
    * As needed manage small capital project for new methods and equipment
    As necessary, provide technical support to production
    * Additional duties as assigned

    Must have a minimum of 5 years of industrial experience with preference given to people that have worked in a research and development environment.

    ROLE SUMMARY

    The BQ area is responsible for quality control testing of finished products, raw materials, and critical environment monitoring in the McPherson plant. This area also provides technical and analytic support for plant project and validation studies.

    ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

    Performs standard microbiological and bio-assay tests for conformance to company and compendial specification. Uses a variety of standard laboratory equipment and instrumentation

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Bachelor's degree
    Competent knowledge and understanding of fundamental principles of one or more professional, technical, or specialized body of knowledge (Science, Environmental Science, Microbiology, Biochemistry of scientific field.)
