Job Description

Manpower is looking for a Field Service Technician to fill a full-time permanent role in Nova Scotia for our client, a global equipment and technology provider that focuses on water and fluid controls in the energy, food & beverage and manufacturing industries. They have provided multiple strategic acquisitions that helped them build a strong reputation for providing outstanding customer service and expressive compassion for the aquaculture industry. This role will involve a mix of administrative and field work with primary focus on field work. The field work will consist of installations, commissioning, start-up, repairs and trouble shooting. This role will involve training in such areas as Nanaimo, BC and in the state of Florida. You must have your own personal vehicle in which mileage will be expensed.

As the full-time Field Service Technician you would be expected to:

* Complete field work including installations, commission, start-up, repairs, and troubleshooting of company equipment.

* Evaluate equipment/system performance and assist customers

* Provide broad technical expertise and support for a range of third party equipment

* Report on project performance and provide administrative reporting after field trips

* Assist with sales support activities

* Train customers on a variety of products

* Complete checklist for any onsite service, according to protocols and company procedures

As the successful candidate you would have:

* Bachelor's degree, or diploma, or equivalent experience in a related field

* Available to travel up to 75% within the territory

* Plumbing and piping background as well as mechanical background with machinery experience

* Skills in computing, networking, communications and software for internet

* Knowledge and experience in monitoring and control systems with strong problem solving and analytical skills
