Job Description

Location: Union City, CATitle: Shipping & Receiving SupervisorHourly: $18 - $30/hr. DOE

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

o Ensure materials are received from proper vendors, delivered to inventory and finished goods, packaged according to specification and shipped in a timely manner
o Review receipt of all materials to ensure purchase orders are open and the quality and quantity of materials received are correct
o Ensure the security and accountability of materials and goods with inventory control;
o Supervise the receipt of raw materials, store in warehouse, and pull in timely manner for disbursement to the production line
o Ensure materials are available to meet production schedules and/or products are shipped as per marketing schedules
o Participate in cycle counts and physical inventories
o Maintain documentation to reflect the effectiveness of efficiency of department activities
o Estimate personnel needs and assign work to meet objectives
o Manage staffing, training and performance evaluations to develop and improve staff
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

o Familiarity with warehouse management systems
o Solid time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
o Ability to interact with other members of the organization
o Good people skills with the ability to evaluate, coach, and motivate employees
o Good verbal and written communication skills
o Good MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
o Knowledge of MRP, Oracle and Agile systems
o Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Desired Education, Certifications and Experience

o 3-5+ years materials or related work experience
o B.S. or equivalent work experience, or any combination of education and experience
o Previous supervisory experience
o APICS Certification
