Job Description

Location: Union City, CA (relocation package)Salary: $18 - $31/hr. DOETitle: CMM Programmer

Job Duties:
Under minimal supervision, perform electrical and/or mechanical inspection, of incoming or outgoing materials, determining conformance to applicable specification as indicated by the designated procedures and product specifications.
Interface with production/engineering personnel concerning inspection results.
Work with manufacturing to develop SOP's
May perform audits in manufacturing areas and facilities according to established SOPs
Maintain statistical quality control charts
Ability to provide CMM programming support to QC Inspectors and CMM operators

Skills:
Ability to operate CMM to measure geometric characteristics of a part, including dimensional measurement.
Ability to perform Manual dimensional and physical inspection of machined/fabricated parts and assemblies
Ability to verify parts are within specified geometric tolerances and are in compliance with engineering drawings and company specifications
Ability to develop a documented process to manage CMM programming function
Create and maintain quality documentation such as inspection plans and data-collection forms, procedures, work instructions, and quality assurance specifications
Good verbal and written communications skills
Familiar with Agile system
Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50lbs.

Education & Experience:
5+ years in CMM programming and operation
AA degree in technical field, BS preferred
Minimum 6 years in Manual mechanical inspection (e.g., comparators, micrometers, gauges.)
Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensions and Tolerating
Knowledge of MS Excel and Word
Working knowledge of statistical methods including SPC as applied in manufacturing operation
