Job Description

Leading manufacturer and distributor of test fixtures is currently looking for a CNC Machinist/Programmer to join their Wheeling team!



Shift: 1st (flexible)

THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:

- Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).

- Programs mills by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool vertical registers, offsets, corn pensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.

- Sets-up mills by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; tramming heads.

- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.



BACKGROUND PROFILE:

- Experience using the most recent AutoCad release.

- Blueprint reading experience

- Authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis

- Experience working with Okuma Lather

- MUST HAVE TURNING EXPERIENCE
