Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

General:

 Must be able to work a flexible work schedule up to and including weekends and holidays

 Promote and cultivate a healthy, harmonious and profitable working relationship within the Slanted Door Inc.

 Attend & participate in department meeting as required

 Exercise good judgment in decision-making and reporting issues to General Manager / Chef de Cuisine

 Partner with FOH for customer's satisfaction

 Food Handler Certification compliant

 Responsible for performing other related duties as assigned by the Chef de Cuisine and General Manager



Additional Responsibilities:

 Track and report any food / fuel waste

 Promptly report any damages on equipment's / appliances/maintenance issues

 Handle, store and rotate all the products properly

 Wrap, label and store all unused products in the appropriate designated area

 Maintain a clean organized station at all times



Education Requirements:

 High school diploma or GED equivalent

 Professional diploma or food services management



Qualifications and Preferred Skills:

 General Knife technical/ handling skills

 Minimum 1 year of cooking experience and must demonstrated knowledge of food trends, quality, production, sanitation, presentation and food cost control

 Working knowledge with Fire Extinguishers



Working Conditions:

 Standing 100% of the time working in the kitchen

 May transport up to 50 pounds on occasion and up to 35 pounds regularly.

 Exposure to heat, fire sparks, and noise in a busy kitchen environment



Uniform / Attendance Requirements:

 Wear hat, hairnet, and or scarf to cover hair at all times while handling food or in Kitchen area
