Job Description

Mail Handling (0-20%):

* Ability to receive, sort, and distribute mail.

Check Handling (20-40%):

* Ability to review, determine policy type, and accurately deposit into SAMS.

* Ability to identify and escalate checks that are unacceptable for deposit, i.e. stale dates, postdated, no signature, etc.

* Properly prepare check and associated paperwork for routing to Banking & Cash Management.

* Log checks ?$1 into TruBalance and create form letter to return funds as defined.

Prepping/Document Classification (20-40%):

* Utilizes best practices to analyze and prepare documents for scanning and/or processing.

* Business knowledge that provides the ability to recognize inappropriate forms/documents and route them appropriately.

* Ability to organize documents according to guidelines for the type of product.

* Follows all scanning 'best practices'.

* Responsible for meeting SLA's of supported customers.

Indexing (20-40%):

* Associate has a solid understanding of insurance documents and understands appropriate information required to index documents accurately and efficiently.

* Associate can index work at the document and batch level for some of customers supported in the area.

* Ability to identify and analyze mis-routed work and route appropriately.

Miscellaneous Duties (10-20%):

* Including but not limited to the following duties:

* Ability to communicate effectively as necessary with customer base.

* Ability to train and/or provide mentoring on associate level tasks.

* Ability to recognize and effectively communicate processing issues that may occur.

* Understanding of scan paths utilized within the department and the ability to utilize them appropriately.

* Actively embraces process improvement and openly accepts the need for consistent improvement.

* Miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Team Leader or Manager


· Associate's degree desired or equivalent experience, Bachelor's degree a bonus.

· This position has been classified as an Associate Person under NMIS guidelines and requires fingerprinting.

· Ability to organize and prioritize work under tight time constraints.

· High degree of accuracy and an ability to work effectively in a fast paced on-line data entry environment.

· Strong team worker with proven ability to work effectively and harmoniously.

· Basic PC proficiency required.

· Effective communication skills.

· Customer service skills preferred.

· Ability to handle confidential information in a manner consistent with privacy laws and regulations and our client's Standards.

· General understanding of insurance forms across multiple customer product lines.

· Demonstrated flexibility to manage multiple job tasks on a daily basis.

· Endurance for lifting up to 25lbs.

· Minimum of Associates Degree or equivalent experience- Bachelor's would be ideal
