Lead Facility Technician
Job Description Summary
The Lead Facilities Technician is responsible for leading several other Facilities Technicians in order to coordinate work requests and manage the work processes related to maintaining the overall appearance, functionality, and operation of the facilities under his or her responsibility. Supports the overall goal of maintaining, a neat, clean, and comfortable work environment within which the customer may carry out their responsibilities with minimal disruption due to facilities-related issues.
Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Work with and supervise facilities technicians in carrying out duties, to ensure client requests are fulfilled and primary job responsibilities are performed.
* Become familiar with Cushman & Wakefield policies and procedures and Client policies and procedures as they relate to your position and job description.
* Conduct employee moves and furniture installations, including vendor management.
* Become familiar with the layout of the facilities, location of storage rooms, shops, conference rooms, labs, data centers, mechanical and equipment rooms, and loading dock.
* Maintain and ensure that all facilities storage rooms are neat, clean, and well-organized at all times.
* Respond to customers, vendors, and fellow employees in a professional, courteous and timely manner in carrying out your assigned duties.
* Check the work order system daily for work requests assigned to facilities technicians. Work with technicians to coordinate work and re-assign work requests as necessary to facilitate completion on a timely basis.
* Ensure that work requests are assigned on a timely basis, completing requests within the assigned Service Level Agreement (SLA).
* Perform and manage daily resets of conference rooms, and inspections for needed repairs.
* Inspect a portion of the facility each day, so that the entire facility is inspected on a weekly basis, and create work tickets for repairs.
* Comply with work order protocol including entering/closing tickets, assigning as required, and oversee facility team to ensure protocol is being maintained.
* Oversee and assist with after hour painting.
* Work with Facilities Manager and the Space Planner to coordinate and carry out large scale moves and reconfiguration.
* Work with Event Coordinators in setting furniture for events (regular and after-hours) and reset Manage coordination and organization of storage areas.
* Attend weekly staff meetings and monthly safety meetings. Observe safety procedures and endeavor to maintain an accident-free environment.
* Know the assigned procedures for various emergency situations and respond accordingly should they occur.
* Maintain good appearance, wearing C&W standard uniform.

* Good written and verbal communication skills; knowledge of Spanish a plus.
* General maintenance and handyman skills.
* Familiarity with furniture and office partition systems.
* Comfortable using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
* Ability to interact with clients, management, staff, and vendors as a professional at all times.
* High School/Technical School diploma. Some college preferred.
* Five to seven years in facilities environment. Familiarity with office furniture, furniture systems, office moves, and general building maintenance, including painting and light repairs
