• Review and Verify scholarship financial disbursements to NSHE institutions.
• Process all federal funds requests within 5 working days.
• Reconcile subgrant final financial reports.
• Use online database reporting features to review fiscal data entry status of all subgrantees weekly.
• Periodically compile data and prepare reports regarding program budget activities and statistics.
• Annually review all fiscal documents for uniform compliance with established requirements and standards.
• Track all requests for federal funds and approved payments.
• Monitor ePAGE for grant expenditures, amendments and reports.
• Review and decide GEAR UP scholarship eligibility determinations.

Provide standardized procedures for use by all staff members.
• Participate in grants training annually to maintain and enhance level of personal expertise.
• Provide database entry information to every staff member requiring access.
• Send required forms to appropriate personnel to help ensure correct fiscal and data reporting by all subgrantees.
• Conduct workshops to train and guide subgrantees.
• Travel to educational agency locations to conduct follow ups and individualized training.
• Train GEAR UP staff on in-kind match documentation and reconcile and verify LEA match documents annually.
• Using email, telephone and fax, provide specific training on data collection, documentation and entry as needed.
• Assess, review, and communicate improvement requirements, including deadlines, to local subgrantee personnel to keep/bring their work into full program compliance.
• Train LEA staff in Work with Career Cruising™
• Provide technical assistance to parents and students with scholarship questions.
