Job Description

•This role will lead vendor management for IT and will work with SLAs, improvements in service and quality, efficiencies and process improvement.
•80% tracking software licenses, including updates, audits and contract negotiation.
•Facilitate the follow-up and evaluate the expectations (deliverables, SLAs and other associated metrics) regarding the accountability and performance of vendors according to the contract and additional value added services.
•Identify opportunities of efficiencies (redundant vendor services, reduction of licenses based on usage, and alternative vendors for improved outcomes).
•Partner with procurement to drive new/renewed contracts to ensure we have the appropriate metrics established regarding measurable performance/outcomes.
•Work with Asset Management to streamline processes, including governance of managing assets (license); mature the effectiveness and efficiency of vendors; proactive renewal process; effective scorecards for key vendors, etc.
•Analyze problems and develop cost-effective solutions to problems.
•Leverage previously used tools/reports efficiently and demonstrate creativity in meeting new reporting needs.
•Identify, escalate and make recommendations for improvement or to mitigate risk.
•Assist project managers, IT users and developers in researching issues resulting in the modification of existing information and processes.
•Review and analyze processes, ensure implementation quality and make recommendations for improvements.
•Perform periodic management information and trend analysis reporting.
•Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively within own team and management.
•Support internal policies and procedures (standards, controls and metrics).
•Demonstrate understanding of various departments within IT and IT’s function within the company.
•Follow and adhere to company defined it standards and procedures.

•Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
•Must have 2-3 years of solid experience negotiating IT related contracts.
•Must have 4+ years of strong vendor management experience, specifically dealing with software contracts; experience with IBM, Microsoft and Oracle is preferred.
•Extensive experience interpreting and negotiating software contracts.
•Ability to take ownership of the software vendor management process and deliver results.
•Knowledge of large-scale internal IT systems or related technologies.
•Must have strong contract skills with a deep understanding of appropriate contract language.
•This position is not a technical role, but it requires a technical aptitude.
•Must have the ability to prioritize tasks within the project and work with minimal supervision or guidance.
•Ability to work in a rapidly changing & dynamic environment.
•Must have conflict resolution skills and be a strategic thinker.
•Must thrive in process improvement and have the ability to think outside the box.
•This person must not be afraid to push back on contracts if needed.
•Must be professional and polished with strong negotiation skills.
