Job Description

A client of ours in Hamilton is actively seeking an experienced human resources coordinator to join their growing team. This is an excellent full time, permanent opportunity to work within a leading food manufacturer in the area.

- Maintain employee files for all hourly employees

- Work closely with HR department and health & safety manager on all aspects of recruiting

- Keep track of attendance records

- Adding new hires into the database, processing adjustments

- Administer benefit and pension plans for hourly staff

- Support management team with grievances and tracking reports

- Analyze staffing trends

- Responsible for completing internal health and safety audits

- Ensure that the facility is compliant with all government and internal policies

- Ensure management team is kept up to date on changing legislation as it pertains to employment & health and safety

- Perform new hire orientations & coordinate company workplace health and safety program


- 1-3 years of previous experience working within a human resources or health and safety capacity

- Previous Health and Safety Experience in a manufacturing enviroment

- Post-secondary education in human resources preferred

- Excellent communication & organizational skills

- Strong planning & multitasking abilities a must

- Intermediate MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

- Experience using day force a strong asset
