Job Description

Our manufacturing client in the Orillia/surrounding area that specializes in glass is looking to add a high-end Production Manager to their team.

The goal of this role is to groom the right individual for the Plant Manager role in the next 3 years. Bring your leadership skills, LEAN manufacturing and Six Sigma skills to the table where you can make a difference to manage the expected growth of the company.

What you bring:

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing/Production Engineering

* 5 years related experience in manufacturing

What You'll Do:

* Provide coaching support to the production supervisors to achieve internal and external customer expectations;

* Monitor and communicate daily production requirements;

* Guiding the Continuous Improvement Leads to identify and facilitate process improvement to drive cultural change;

* Monitoring data collection and analysis for process mapping, developing budgets and costing analysis to determine project feasibility;

* Review and conduct root cause analysis data to troubleshoot manufacturing and assembly issues, material flow, project plans, production capacity, facility design and create process documentation;

* Resolving work problems and recommending measures to improve productivity and product quality;

* Providing strong leadership in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment through compliance to IMSU/EHS safety rules and regulations and meet all legislated regulatory requirements;

* Develop and conduct continuous improvement compliance audits, program evaluations and reviews to drive and sustain results;

* Prepare production and other reports;

* Define, monitor and evaluate key process indicators and objectives and impulse improvement projects.

* Lead, motivate and promote employees within area of responsibility. Manage the performance and development of direct reports, conduct performance appraisals and goal setting agreements on a bi-annual basis, succession planning, personnel development, identify training needs and measures;

* Promote and advocate for quality achievement and performance improvement across the organization.

* Support in finding new business opportunities and extending existing businesses

* Responsible to propose and implement new production technologies

* Implement and foster continuous improvement culture.
