Job Description

In tandem with our client, a leader in the petrochemical industry, we are seeking an experienced Project Information Analyst to fulfill a contract position. This position is located at our clients head office in Calgary, Alberta. Work hours are Monday to Friday 8 hours a day.

Position Summary:

A self-starter working with minimal supervision in a team environment, the Information Analyst Management will support the Project Management Office (PMO) by building working relationships with plant and project document control personnel to develop the necessary standards and manuals for data management of large capital projects during:

* Project team organization

* Execution

* Handover (H/O -- from EP to the Project), and

* Turnover (T/O -- to the plant).


* Build and maintain good team relationships with operations and project personnel in local and remote office locations.

* Execute project Document Control audits to verify functionality and make necessary improvements to the procedures and templates

* Create update, and complete existing standards procedure for handling and ensure managed properly

Required Experience and Skills:

* Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written English language, grammar and spelling.

* Building and maintaining good team relationships with operations and project personnel in local and remote office locations.

* Development of workflows, procedures and standard documents.

* Training and mentoring Project Document Control technicians.

* Meeting facilitation skills with ability to present to discipline peers as well as project and PMO leadership.

* Must have functional knowledge of:

o Intergraph SPF and its document and meta-data related functionality.

o Microsoft SharePoint as used to store and share documentation and meta-data.

o Microsoft Excel as used to analyze data and provide reports using pivot tables and data cleaning tools, typically used for reporting to projects and PMO leadership.

o Microsoft Word for development of procedures and guidelines.

o Microsoft PowerPoint for development of training and report presentation.

o Network shared drives (mapping and linking).

o 2D CAD file viewing software (SPF Viewer, Bentley Viewer, Micro Station or AutoCAD)

o Document review and mark-up tools including PDF Mark-up and Blue Beam

o SnagIt screen capture software

* Working in an engineering project environment, specifically with document control and management of document life cycles.

Working with an operating plant's document control, maintenance, and operations teams to understand their needs and requirements for multiple types of deliverables (documents, drawings and data), and the plant's change management and concurrent engineering workflows.
