Job Description

A direct hire career opportunity for a Quality Assurance Engineer (electronics manufacturing) is available in Lancaster. This position manages all quality aspects of a specific program(s) or for a specific Customer's contracts. Activities typically include contract review, environmental oversight, development of reports, instructions, documentation as required by contract (or internal procedures), and management of issues throughout the contract life-cycle. In addition, this position will support business system improvement activities as required by the Quality Management System (QMS).



Position Summary:

* Manages all of the Quality Assurance, Reliability, System Safety, Human Factors, and Maintainability requirements of an Assigned job

* Interfaces with the internal and external customers

* Supports job bid activities

* Reads, interprets and executes all assigned contracts/Purchase Orders.

* Generates and submits all project related documentation.

* Attends all project related meetings and activities as applicable

* Executes Quality Assurance related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

* Creates necessary documentation and/or communications

* Coordinates all testing with the Environmental Engineer

* Executes all duties in an ethical and professional manner.

* Performs other tasks and duties as assigned to support business goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Quality Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent.

* Minimum of 5 years of work experience in Quality Assurance, combined with a demonstrated track-record of accomplishments and with satisfying customers in technology-driven, developing companies.

* DOD experience.

* Experience with Military and International Quality System rules, regulations, standards, including planning and implementation.

* Excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and superior organizational abilities.

* Strong computer skills including near expert skills in most of the Microsoft Office Business suite.

* Excellent customer service skills and focus required.

* Ability to take initiative, to meet deadlines, and to work in a team environment

* GD&T and technical drawing knowledge.

* Ability to obtain Electronic Industry certifications such as IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, etc.

* Ability to obtain/maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.

* (Reliability and maintenance experience, mean time between failure calculation, and IPC class 3 experience /certification a plus!)
