Job Description

Our client, who specializes in supplying recycled products to the construction industry, is looking for a Tool and Die Maker for its Vaughan manufacturing site. This permanent position on the afternoon shift with a competitive salary, vacation package, full benefits (Health & Dental, life insurance paid by the employer), and extra perks. With your Tool & Die Maker Certificate (430A) and maintenance background in a rubber or plastic injection mold manufacturing, you will be able to guide their team of maintenance professionals.

What is the Job?

*Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and/or hydraulic mold issues

*Electrically disassembling large, complex injection molds

*Connecting three phase electrical heating circuits and control wiring for analog circuits

*Troubleshooting electrical mold issues

*Maintains and manufactures tools, dies and fixtures accurately to provide quality components at peak efficient levels.

*Works on presses to diagnose cause of tool or die malfunction.

*Sets up and operates all Tool room machines including lathes, milling machine, drill press, grinders, etc.

*Assists Set-Up Operators to set up and adjust presses to ensure parts are produced according to production requirements.

*Reads and interprets blueprints and uses precision measuring instruments (imperial and metric). Performs bench work and skilled fitting to very close tolerances.

*Recommends maintenance and equipment repair necessary to achieve the highest possible efficiency, safety and quality.
