Job Description

Do you have one to three years of experience in clinical practice and/or the pharmaceutical industry (specifically in Quality or pharmacovigilance)? Do you have familiarity with medical terminology and a degree in the medical field or life science? If you answered yes to any of the above questions this may be the position for you. We are seeking a qualified individual to work as a Pharmacovigilance Associate, working under the direction of and consultation with Pharmacovigilance Specialists to assist with adverse event case processing and administrative functions at a large pharmaceutical companies Martin facility. The primary function of duties of this role will include but are not limited to:



* Receiving and processing non-serious adverse drug experience reports on products in the Pharmacovigilance database

* Performing follow up with call center for the purpose of completing case documentation if required.

* Interacting with Consumer Affairs department on the quality related investigations of adverse events.

* Coding adverse event terms in MedDRA, and assures data accuracy, clinically valid case assessments, and regulatory reporting status assessments.

* Performing various administrative duties, including opening mail, logging sample, maintaining accurate hardcopy files, filing, typing and conducting special projects.



The chosen candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to handle confidential, sensitive, and high-pressure situations appropriately. The ability to read, understand and apply U.S. and international law and regulatory guidance documents to job function. This individual must have critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and with others.
