Job Description

QA Analyst



Manpower is currently hiring a QA Analyst to fulfill a full time contract role to permanent position.



Location: Calgary AB



Summary of Key Responsibilities: (job functions include but are not limited to):

*Able to action on, analyze, and verify requirements for testing purposes

*Gather all business requirements for the development stream and will construct relevant QA documentation for testing purposes.

*Write and execute test cases, track defects, fixes and retest in an Agile / SCRUM environment

*Prioritize testing tasks based on criticality to the end user and ensure that all testing activities are completed as scheduled and co-ordinate testing to ensure release/sprint timelines and deliverables are met

*Analyze and understand complex User Stories, creation of test strategies and drive reviews with stakeholders

*Work closely with QA and development team to ensure all relevant and agreed upon aspects of the application are tested

*Ability to recognize and test for scenarios that may affect other projects

*Communicate effectively and positively with other members of the development team

*Advocate for Quality in all aspects of design and development



Qualifications and Requirements:

*Minimum 5 years of experience working in a Quality Assurance Analyst type role with experience in manual software testing

*Post-Secondary Education in related field

*Technical Skills:

Experience isolating defects in desktop software or web applications

Good understanding of Testing Methodologies

Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and Agile/ Scrum methodologies

Experience in writing UI automated tests is a plus (ideally Selenium)

SQL and JavaScript knowledge are an advantage

Experience exercising REST API's is an asset

*Soft skills:

Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Strong organizational, interpersonal, negotiation, planning and facilitation skills

Ability to work independently and within a team environment
