Job Description

A Mechanical Engineer career opportunity is available with a world leading industrial company based in York, PA. This position will provide support to the Engineered Services Solutions (ESS) group. This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize work on several projects simultaneously and present a positive, cooperative demeanor with customers and co-workers.



Responsibilities include:

* Provide technical problem solving and application support related to refurbishment, upgrades, and retrofit of equipment

* Visit customer offices and plant sites for equipment analysis

* Prepare formal engineering specifications based on analysis

* Complete complex engineering calculations & engineering drawings

* Produce technically sound designs which meet contract requirements.

* Commit to quality ethics and service to internal and external customers.

* Focus on safety

* Assist in development of projects and help facilitate process improvements.

* Undertake other duties as may be assigned

* Travel (both domestically and internationally) as needed.



Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology from a four-year college/university, or equivalent

* Minimum of 3+ years' related mechanical engineering experience (design).

* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

* Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

* Experience using a FEA modeling package (Pro-E/Solidworks/NX/ANSYS, etc.).

* Experience using AutoCad Mechanical.

* Ability to understand issues domestically and internationally and communicate effectively with clients.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

* Experience in Autodesk Inventor and SAP helpful

* Experience in heavy equipment service / shop related environments is very helpful.
