Job Description

Manpower is seeking a skilled IT professional for a Local Client in Marquette, Michigan.



If you have substantial knowledge and experience in Technical Support, Troubleshooting, and great customer service skills, this permanent position could be for you! This client is a well-established, successful company looking for a long-term professional to join them!

The ideal candidate will possess the skills necessary to identify and troubleshoot reported issues in the following areas: internal infrastructure; client infrastructure; disaster recovery; and technician responsibilities. This position works closely with the technical department as well as the bank services department.

Responsibilities, including, but not limited to:



1.) Internal Infrastructure:

* Responsible for assisting in ensuring internal infrastructure in functioning efficiently.

* Assist in ensuring security measures are in place.

* Assist in performing End of Lifecycle planning annually.

* Assist with new product direction.

* Assist with internal security



2.) Client Infrastructure:

* Responsible for ensuring major client infrastructure is operating efficiently.

* I.T. meetings with all major clients to include technology planning.

* Prepare quotes for purchase of new equipment for improved solution for major clients.

* Assist and/or manage large projects and conversions with technical staff and V.P. of Information Technology.



3.) Technician Responsibilities:

* Provide direct customer support, this includes daily support, incident management, server troubleshooting, hardware and software installations.

* Provide on-call technical support to customers in a professional manner and maintain goodwill, cooperation and productive relationships.

* Install, configure, maintain, upgrade, and support a diverse set of work station operating systems, client/server and local applications on computers, laptops and hand-held devices, printers and associated peripherals.

* Assist with network administration (including backup, security management, user account management, e-mail systems including Exchange server, internet access, office systems and applications support).

* Document and update work progress and problem resolution in technical support database. Follows complex written instructions. May create technical documentation and procedures for team use.

* Implement virus detection and eradication procedures

* Diagnose end user system failures and implement repair solutions

* Troubleshoot network devices in order to ensure connectivity from the PC to the network

* Troubleshoot and support issues in Thin and Thick client environments while monitoring licensing and ensure backups are completed.

* Help create policies and procedures for compliance when necessary.

* Perform technology needs analysis.

* Monitor system performance and security.

* Perform other related functions as assigned by management



4.) Disaster Recovery:

* Perform/assist in testing



5.) Department Needs:

* Utilize ticketing system

* Utilize project management system

* Utilize billing and inventory systems
