Job Description

Job Title: CNC Machinist-Will take entry level with technical degree

Status: Hourly - Based on experience

Shift: Typically 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Hours will vary as dictated by production, vacation or other scheduling conflicts.

Workweek: Monday thru Friday. Overtime and weekend work is required as needed.



QUALIFICATIONS:

* Must have experience operating CNC mills & lathes.

* Able to program, set up and operate CNC machines independently.

* Experience designing and building fixtures to machine parts.

* Must be able to accurately read blue prints and comprehend standard operating procedures.

* Must have above average math skills to add and subtract whole numbers and fractions.

* Must have standard machining tools.

* Must be able to measure using caliper, micrometer and tape measure.

* Must possess good communication, problem solving and organizational skills.

* Capable of bending, twisting, squatting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and standing for long periods of time while performing

physically demanding repetitive job tasks.

* Capable of regular lifting randomly sized items up to 60 pounds.

* Must be accurate, honest, detail orientated, punctual and organized.

* Commitment to quality and safety excellence a must.

* Must function effectively and productively individually and within a team focused work group.

* Must be reliable with a strong work ethic, positive attitude and morale.

* Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Read and interpret blueprint specifications to determine procedures and operational sequence.

* Machine complex parts to blueprints

* Load programs into machine tool controls.

* Set up, adjust and operate machine tools with limited supervision. Perform light machine maintenance as needed.

* Operate CNC Mills and Lathes while monitoring for malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining. Adjust machine controls as required.

* Edit programs at machines knowing M-codes and G-codes.

* Inspects and verifies conformance of finished parts to blue prints and work instructions.

* Strive for maximum efficiencies while maintaining quality and safety standards.

* Maintain standard operating procedures that ensure uniformity and consistency in all work performed.

* Operate various power hand tools and machine tools to make finish adjustments to products.

* Operate saws and other applicable equipment to cut materials to size.

* Perform manual material handling, sorting, lifting, and caring of assorted sized items up to 60 pounds.

* Perform cleaning, organizing and preventative maintenance activities.

* Responsible for performing and documenting Quality Assurance checks measuring products with caliper, micrometer and tape measure ensuring product specifications, quality and excellent craftsmanship are maintained.

* Communicate and work professionally and effectively, build and maintain positive/respectful work relationships with others.

* Ensure equipment and facilities are maintained in good, clean, and safe operating condition.

* Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, and work rules.

* Maintain good performance, behavior, communication, attitude, morale and attendance.
