Job Description

We are currently hiring for production positions. These openings are DIRECT HIRE opportunities that are perfect for anyone looking for a long-term career opportunity with a growing and successful company. Vestas has invested $1 billion to establish four North America manufacturing facilities. The Blades factory in Brighton produces 2 types of wind turbine blades, one reaching 218 feet (66.7 meters) long!

To support business growth, the Production Department in Brighton Blades is of growing. Employees use their love for hands-on custom work and strong attention to detail to ensure Vestas turbine blades are ready for shipment to customers.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $16.96 per hour, plus shift differentials

Shifts Available: 7:00am - 7:15pm AND 7:00pm - 7:15am, 4 total options.

Job Location: Brighton, CO

Required education: High school or equivalent



Wind Turbine Blade Manufacturing Responsibilities:

- Load, stack, and transport materials by hand, fork lift or crane.

- Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work-piece, and sequence of operations.

- Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points on material or work-piece as guides for subsequent processing.

- Reach goals set by production needs daily.

- Polish and sand with grinding discs or sandpaper.

- Clean interior surfaces of holes.

- Apply abrasive compound or other dressing to facilitate pore filling or polishing.

- Operate sanders, grinders, drills and other similar tools.

- Verifies dimensions, conformance and alignment of finished work-piece specifications.

- Work with various epoxy resins and hardeners in hand with various composites to achieve structural performance.

- Dedication to keeping a clean work space at all times to increase efficiency and safety for all employees.



Qualifications:

- One to three years' experience with hands on labor duties (use of tools)

- Strong natural ability to work in teams, high degree of adaptability & flexibility

- Desire to work as an artisan with hand tools.
