Job Description

Manpower is currently looking for Production Technicians in the Quincy WA area.

The technician will be part of a self-directed work team and will be trained and responsible for ensuring products meet customer, safety, and quality expectations.

Shifts: Monday - Thursday rotating every 10 weeks: 7am-5:30pm and 5pm-3:30pm


*Packaging: includes operating all types of packaging equipment, inline QA testing, cleaning and sanitizing of all packaging equipment.

*Machine Setup/Operation/Maintenance/Troubleshooting: includes the complete set-ups of packaging machines; monitoring line operation; troubleshooting, repairing, modifying settings and making adjustments to equipment prior to and during production runs; ensure equipment wellness.

*Weigh up/Blending: includes calculating quantities of ingredients; weighing and measuring ingredients; performing mixing operations; recording raw material usage; transferring finished compounds to holding vessels; cleaning and sanitizing mixing and storage vessels; assuring all chemicals and products are handled and stored to avoid contamination in accordance with standard production formulation, mixing instructions, state, federal, FDA and GMP regulations.

*Shipping/Receiving: includes transporting raw materials, good in process and finished goods to production lines; loading and unloading trucks; verifying and counting goods and completing all associated paperwork, and performing daily equipment inspection and cleaning.

*Cleaning/Sanitizing: includes performing detailed sanitation procedures and taking care to follow the correct methods of sanitation; handling hazardous wastes as required; operating the trash compactor, and performing general cleaning of production areas.

*Quality: includes testing incoming raw materials, bulk and finished products; communicating quality issues, out-of-spec results and deviations; conducting audits; and determining and implementing continuous improvement measures.

*Assisting in the development of technical and operational SOPs, training materials, and schedules.

*Completing and maintaining all required records and documentation.

*Training and ensuring other team members adhere to proper standards and operating procedures.

*Tracking key plant metrics and reporting daily to team members

*The facilitating and actively participating in team meetings

*Serving as a mentor to all team members to include providing peer reviews and feedback.


*High school diploma or GED

*Ability to learn necessary computer systems and applications.

*Strong organizational and time management skills

*Strong teamwork skills: have the ability to build trust and follow through on commitments

*Ability to successfully adapt and adjust to changing approaches, processes, ideas, tools, and techniques

*The drive to understand the root cause of issues, and develop and enhance processes to maximize the team's effectiveness.

Additional Requirements (Preferred):

*Knowledge of core functional processes and associated operating requirements.

*Experience using all related computer systems, and applications.

*Prior experience with manufacturing food products, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, cGMPs, Lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma is a plus.

*Ability to obtain a Hilo License, and lift and carry 50lbs.
