Job Description

Manpower has partnered with a major utilities company in search of a full time IT Administrative Assistant for an upcoming contract position for their office in Burnaby BC.

IT Administrative Assistant Provides:

- Administrative and technical support relating to the management organization and maintenance of records and information including Generation's intranet website

- Researching technical material, developing documentation for the non-technical user

- First level troubleshooting, consultative advice and guidance to sub site owners

What you will bring to the job:

- Working knowledge of records & information management and the associated policies and procedures

- Good customer service skills.

- Ability to train staff on electronic systems and work practices and to provide demonstrations to interested clients

- Ability to provide technical support, maintain and troubleshoot web content on homepages

- Ability to provide planning, consultative advice, training and technical guidance to sub site owners with development of their sites.

- Well developed technical understanding of the internet, website development and maintenance, World Wide Web (WWW), inter/intranet communications and related PC and net related application programs.

- Ability to write, edit, format and program website features and to perform daily routine page management, site planning and system backup.

- Well developed technical understanding of the intranet, internet, World Wide Web (WWW), electronic communications frameworks, related PC and net related development/application programs, programming languages, and diagnostic tools.


- Able to type minimum 40 WPM

- Working knowledge of FileNet and Microsoft office suite.

- Excellent oral, written and business English skills and communication interpersonal skills.

- Good time management skills and the proven ability to work in a multi-task environment with a large customer base.

- Good understanding of the Generation LoB

- A valid BC driver's license (Occasional travel to Area Offices, Warehouses and/or Storage facilities across the province may be required)

- Available for full time during regular office hours
