Job Description

The person in this position will actively support the requirements of the Engineering and Maintenance Department as directed by the Maintenance Manager. The person in this position will be required to perform fabrication and repairs to all mechanical and plumbing systems of the facilities and the production lines, as well as other related equipment. This position will be on-call 24 hours per day/ 7 days per week.The person in this position will be responsible for:

 Required to troubleshoot and repair electrical system problems, and assist with control repair issues.

 Will perform and document regular inspections of all production, utility, and facility related systems.

 Conduct research and document information for repair of any electrical or electronic control systems that are in use. This will include parts and developing operational instructions as necessary.

 Identify MRO materials needed to the Maintenance Manager.

 Will be required to research and document information relevant to the repair of any electrical or control system Inc. on an as needed basis.

 Perform some electrical circuit installations including new conduit as needed.

 Other maintenance/engineering related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Computer Literacy Required for this job:

 Experienced in the use of multi-meters, data loggers, and other monitoring devices

 Intermediate computer skills.

 Strong mechanical ability.

 Ability to conduct internet research.

 Capable of identifying system sub-assemblies, and the parts of those sub-assemblies.

 Must be able to read, and interpret electrical schematics.

Required Education and Work Experience:

 This person must be qualified to safely work on electrical systems and equipment up to 480 volts including three (3) phase power, electrical controls, AC/DC drive set up and trouble shooting, knowledge of PLC controlled systems.

 A High School diploma, or GED is required.

 Military experience and training or technical school education preferred

 Must be trained in electrical systems, with some controls experience desirable, and a working knowledge of PLC's required.

 Must have at least 5 years of experience as an electrician in an industrial setting, or equivalent.

Working Environment and Physical Requirements:

 Ability to walk, stand or sit as necessary.

 Must be able to lift and carry 70 pounds.

 Must be able to perform tasks requiring repetitive twisting, bending and stooping

 Must be able to read, and understand electrical schematics, and their supporting technical instructions.

 Must have the ability to use a computer keyboard to enter, retrieve or transform data on a computer.

 Must be able to read, comprehend, and speak English, and demonstrate at least twelfth grade reading skills.
