Job Description

Job Summary:

To provide a variety of services through sales support transactions and administrative support for assigned divisional sales territories. Also assist in providing value-added services to internal/external sales representatives including problem identification and resolution.

Daily work volume is dependent on each individual request. Some interactions will take longer than others. We expect the Sales Support Representative to handle the transactions from start to finish in a timely and professional manner.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Represents the company in communicating with related divisions/departments and internal customers. Works independently, although the scope for the discretion is limited and the output is reviewed periodicly while in progress. The work priorities are defined with the manager/supervisor.

1. Assumes responsibility for handling varied customer transactions regarding CRM entries, sample ordering, database reporting, price inquiries, quotes, order entry, order status (promise and shipping dates) inquiries, back orders proofs of delivery, and other related systems, policies and procedures.

Working tasks might include:

Responds to Sales/Customers' inquiries regarding product identification and information, quotations, and pricing requests.

*Builds credibility and trust with Field sales/customers by providing value added services recommendations for product applications, promotional opportunities, order enhancements, related sales, etc.

*Provide input for writing specifications needed for Sales Support Center service methods and procedures.

*Changes ship routings upon Sales/customers requests and expedites outstanding orders.

*Handles customer inquiries/complaints of moderate scope and complexity such as product returns/exchanges, pricing, major discounts, etc. and suggests improvements to respective departments.

2. Handles inquiries of moderate scope and complexity. Uses basic analytical skills to interpret information, examine variables, draw concusions, and assess alternative methods. complex problem solving may require the use of increased judgement to handle some variations in conditions or operations, making decisions based on selecting from alternative courses of action using greater adaption to circumstances when necessary.

3. Primary contacts are typically internal and on a professional supervisory, or co-worker level. Interaction is focused on answering routine questions directly related to the professional discipline, as well as exchanging factual information with an audience knowledgeable in the subject area.
