    Position overview
    Plans, lays out, assembles, installs metal parts, equipment, and products according to company specifications and blue prints. Position requires a wide range of welding skills including light tacking to heavy flat, up weld, and overhead welding according to ASME codes. Operate a variety of power tools including but not limited to saws, grinders, drills, welders and overhead cranes.

    Essential Job Functions:
    -Support a philosophy of zero accidents by following all applicable safety procedures and maintaining equipment to operate in the safest way possible.
    -Ability to pass ASME Vessel Code Weld test.
    -Must have experience fitting and welding pressurized vessel/pipe.
    -Must have extensive knowledge of MIG welding operations with basic knowledge of Stick welding operations.
    -Ability to short arc, spray arc and use a torch proficiently.
    -Need to be able to read work from plans, sketches, diagrams and blue prints.

    Basic Qualifications
    -Must be able to pass a 3G plate test and 6G pipe welding test.
    -3 years minimum of related work experience.
    -Ability to pass drug and background check.

    The Installer is responsible for assisting in the receiving, delivery, and installation of furniture at customer sites.     Essential Functions:
    Perform disassembly and reassembly of all Steelcase and office systems furniture
    Recommend solutions to improvise and redesign on job site, or customize in order to get the job completed
    Accurately complete and submit required paperwork, i.e. Timesheets, Merchandise Return Forms, Delivery Tickets, Change Orders and Punch Lists in a timely manner
    Properly load and pack truck for deliveries
    Fix and adjust locks
    Properly install wall attachments,i.e. white boards, Egan boards, wall channels, panel attachment and brackets
    Complete metal touch up with paint, as necessary
    Properly install 35 panels and/or a comparable number of components in a day
    Provide backup assistance for all warehouse duties, as necessary
    Adherence to Operations procedures and policies and standards of conduct off site

    Qualifications:
    Should possess excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
    Understanding and knowledge of product lines and services offered
    Effective customer service skills
    Ability to follow instructions and adhere to department and company policies and procedures
    Mindful of maintaining safety in the work environment
    Understanding of and effective use of blue prints, elevations, typicals and specifications having to do with Steelcase systems furniture and the ability to apply this knowledge to non-Steelcase systems.
