    This position is responsible for the execution of supply chain management activities, supply chain optimization, and process improvement initiatives. This responsibility is to be performed in a manner consistent with the overall company Materials Management Strategy, and modeled within the guiding principles of the company Values. This position is the primary plant interface between external suppliers, internal customers, and functional peers.

    This position will:
    * Implement countermeasures to meet defined metrics for assigned suppliers such as identifying and addressing supplier issues that affect key measures (i.e. on-time delivery, operational downtime, ASN compliance, schedule disruption, packaging/label compliance, etc.)
    * Manage plant-specific supply-chain management activities and special projects for suppliers, product development (i.e. running changes, etc.) and product/process

    Qualifications include:
    * Associate Degree in Materials Management preferred or equivalent
    * 3-5 years of related experience in a high volume distribution environment
    * A working knowledge of BOM, MRP and JIT is preferred
    * Superior interpersonal & communication skills with a willingness to evoke creative problem solving and analytical skills are a must!
    * High level of competence in written and oral communication skills, analytical problem solving, decisiveness, and planning is required
    * Demonstrated skills in PC and SAP system applications are required.
    * Knowledge of manufacturing/assembly processes and familiarity with transportation/traffic methodology
    * Ability to write and retrieve queried information
