    Our client in the production industry is looking to hire a Graphic Artist on a 6 month contract with the opportunity to go Perm for the right candidate!

    Salary:
    $40,000 - $45,000/year

    The Job:
    - Check Artworks queue for orders and customer supplied artwork. Process and redraw artwork as required. Create proofs, color separations and trapping. Download film templates from Artworks and prepare production template(s) to run film.
    - Type setting for Personalized orders going to Production.
    - Manipulate customer-provided artwork or existing ones to be applied on our apparel, gear and accessory lines for embroidery, heat transfer and deboss stamping following guidelines, creating proofs and integrate completed design files into our custom production queue.
    - Troubleshoot / correct problems with returned orders from production floor.
    - Operate and maintain film processing equipment (Epson Inkjet 4880 & 4900)
    - Other duties as assigned by management team.

    The Ideal Candidate:
    - 2 years college, Graphic Arts degree/diploma preferred
    - 2 years' experience in Graphic Arts or related
    - PC and Mac experience a must
    - Fluent in Adobe Illustrator and PhotoShop with strong sense of colour coordination utilizing the Pantone Matching System (PMS)
    - Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality, and a critical eye for detail
    - Ability to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines
    - Strong written and verbal communication skills

    What is the job?
    * SUMMARY
    o Under general supervision, prepares standard designs, drawings and bills of material for industrial motor control equipment from customer specifications in accordance with applicable codes and standards. Drafting duties include production drawings, customer approval drawings, (BOMs) bill of materials, and engineering change orders.
    * ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    o Designs basic electrical control systems for industrial motor control equipment in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
    o Develops standard wiring diagrams, layouts, bill of materials and other drawings as necessary for assembly and wiring of low voltage control equipment.
    o Produces production and customer approval drawings using AutoCAD.
    o Maintains new and revised product drawing files according to ISO procedures and standards.
    o Works closely with all departments within the organization to insure that the drawings convey the correct information and are error free.
    o Develops and implements processes that will improve productivity and reduce costs in the overall manufacturing process. Develops associated documentation.
    o Ensures familiarity with and conducts tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality, environmental and security regulations (state/federal laws, ISO 9001, ISO 14000, OHSAS 18000, etc.) as well as Rockwell Automation policies and procedures.
    o Performs other duties as directed or assigned.

    What you bring to the job?
