    The Department of National Defence (DND) in Petawawa has a requirement for two intermediate 2 Stores Associates to work in an office and warehouse setting.

    Assignment Duration: 40 weeks

    Unit growth and responsibility for the control and maintenance of stores and equipment has created a greater demand on the unit Supply Section to maintain equipment for future operations. As such, DND has a requirement for two GSSTS Sr stores person to assist in the daily operations of the Supply section.

    DUTIES

    The intermediate stores person must complete and carry out tasks which include but are not limited to the following:

    Updating and maintaining automated records and systems on all aspects of material support (receipts, warehousing and issues);
    Performing operator level maintenance of assigned MHE, completing usage records, and documenting equipment faults (from daily inspections);
    Reporting on safety/security issues (i.e. hazards or damage to facilities or equipment);
    Certifies that goods received are in good order and that they conform to the contract;
    Safeguarding military materiel that is received, maintained and issued at the warehouse;
    Safeguarding a large variety of MHE/(Material Handling Equipment) vehicles and hand/power tools. This equipment is used in the performance of own work and by others in the work group;
    Maintaining hard copy files of archival information for audit purposes and as an information source for all team members and clients;
    Using, operating and caring for: office supplies; furniture and equipment; personal computer, terminal and peripherals; printer; and fax machine in day-to-day work;
    Ensuring goods and services suppliers, and clients returning goods to stock (including foreign military), are in compliance with departmental procedures and regulations (i.e. standing offers, contract terms and conditions, service agreements and specifications).

    REQUIREMENTS

    Level 1 Reliability is required.
    MS Office suite (such as Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint) is the primary software application tool to be used.

    Hours of work will be 40 hrs/wk working
    Scheduled to start from June 25, 2018
    Work location is in Petawawa
