    Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm

    $18.50 per hour

    As a lab technician, you will be responsible for assisting in the formulation development of new global innovations for cleansing products. Day to day responsibilities will include:
    - Following process instructions to formulate various cleansing formulations.
    - Maintaining a laboratory notebook which captures formulation details, processing steps, and time/temperature notes for the duration of each formulation batch.
    - Managing the laboratory inventory of raw materials (surfactants, acids, bases, etc.) ensuring the lab area is appropriately stocked.
    - Filling, labeling and shipping prototype samples for consumer testing.
    - Maintaining a clean and safe laboratory work area while adhering to Unilever safety protocols.
    - Analyzing product attributes including pH, viscosity, rheology, density, appearance, and color.
    Requirements for this position include:
    - 4 year degree in Biology, Chemistry or related field required
    - Proficiency with laboratory skills including:
    o Acid base titrations
    o Making solutions
    o pH measurements
    o Basic laboratory equipment; hot plates, heating mantles, mixing units, etc.
    o Viscosity and rheology measurements
    - Intermediate computer skills
    o Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint proficiency required
    - Employee must be able to occasionally lift up to 35lbs
    - Employee must be able to be on their feet for a significant portion of the day
    - Must be proficient in English

    Major Consumer Products company in Trumbull needs a CT licensed stylist to help with their Salon Studies. Stylists apply products to panelists hair-either shampoo, conditioner or hair styling aids. During a salon study the stylist will instruct panelists and record their answers.

    * Must be a team player.
    * Currently licensed Hair Stylist by the State of Connecticut.
    * Read and understand protocol.
    * Asks questions and records study answers.
    * Practices Sanitation procedures.
    * Conduct test according to protocol for study.
    * Make sure codes match ballot.
    * Review instruction with panelist and ensures panelists are following test instructions.
    * Familiar with tablet.
    * Able to maintain panelist flow if other stylists are busy with other areas of their jobs. ( not limited to one panelist per time slot)
    * Maintain a flow for clean towels.
    * Empty all syringe buckets. When bucket in prep room is filled bring to settle light station
    * Clean and sanitize station you used for the day.
    * Clean and sanitize panelist drying room.
    * Clean and sanitize waiting room.
    * Look around and pick up test center throughout day.

    Work schedule; this role will require flexibility as this is a part-time on-call role. Candidates must have availability to work 2-4 days per week Monday to Thursday for the hours of 8:30a-4:30p.m. They will be scheduled as needed according to the needs of the business.

    Requires State of CT Cosmetology License

    * Provide technical expertise to incident management and crisis management teams as required. Assess options and provide recommendations in context of legal, business, and consumer impacts

    * Represent the Canadian technical POV to cross-functional audiences e.g. NA Supply Chain Teams, Innovation Project Management teams and Local Marketing and Customer teams

    * Possess a broad understanding of ingredient functionality and nutrition value to expertly deliver superior finished product performance and optimal nutrition profile, and as it relates to assessing alternate ingredients
