    Maintain the service technician's daily schedules and dispatch the technicians as service calls are received. Schedule return trips with customers when parts are in. Clear and concise communications with department managers, employees and company customers, including keeping customers appraised as to company scheduled and requested lead-times. Prepare service invoices and timecards for processing.
    Daily Duties:
    *Answer incoming customer calls with professional tone
    *Greet walk-in customers in professional manner
    *Schedule and coordinate all service calls as they are received
    *Create dispatch tickets for all service calls
    *Dispatch service technicians
    *Respond to all messages left overnight from answering service
    *Maintain the dispatch board/schedule
    *Forecast workload for 2-3 days out
    *Assist technicians with part look up
    *Order parts for technicians and shop as needed
    *Prepare paperwork for manufacture warranty parts
    *Facilitate return of warranty parts
    *File service orders
    *Update customer accounts as information is received (equipment information, updated bill to addresses, phone numbers, etc.)
    *Compare timecards and service invoices when technicians turn in paperwork
    *Process counter sales
    *Answer billing questions regarding customer statements
    *Receive parts/material orders from vendors
    *Process payments received from customers via cash, check or credit
    *Other duties as assigned
    Qualifications:
    *Strong Customer Service Skills
    *Geographical knowledge of service area or map reading skills
    *Organized
    *Ability to multitask
    *Computer skills
    *Prior dispatch experience is recommended but not required

    * Maintains records of repairs, calibrations, and tests.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    * Completion of approved Province of Ontario Industrial Electrical Apprenticeship for Trade 442A preferred; with 9000 hours related experience and/or training.
    * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to describe problems and solutions with other employees of organization.
    * Ability to work with electrical mathematical concepts such as resistance, wire calculations, electromotive force, terminal voltages, analysis of series and parallel circuits, and trigonometry. Compute metric conversions, weights, measures, linear equations, formulae and shop calculations. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
    *Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    * Paints fences, outbuildings, bathrooms, and other city owned property/buildings (interior and exterior).
    * Repairs fences, gates, walls, floors and roofs.
    * Performs minor carpentry and masonry projects and repair to include boat ramps and docks.
    * Cleans out ditches and culverts at assigned parks, facilities and walkovers.
    * Prepares athletic fields for practices, game tournaments and special events.
    * Performs routine safety inspections and informs Parks Supervisor of potentially hazardous situations.

    * Interacts with facility users; answering questions, explaining regulations, enforcing regulations to the best of their ability.

    MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: High School Diploma and six (6) months of work experience involving. Understanding of general construction blueprints, minor road repair, water drainage systems, building maintenance, excavation, and lawn maintenance is essential.

    The Scale Technician performs installation, maintenance and repair of precision weighing equipment along with the calibration of test measurement and equipment using multimeters, power supplies, frequency counters, calipers, calibrated weights, hydraulic and torque devices. The accredited calibration certifications and verifications is completed on industrial weighing equipment in support of various manufacturing facilities including automobile, chemical, power generation, academic, food and food manufacturing, and several other industries. The scope of the calibrations are performed from laboratory equipment up to and including truck and railroad scales.

    General Responsibilities

    * Provide precision calibration, according to detailed procedures, specifications, blueprints, drawings, and other technical requirements.
    * Collect, compile, measure, summarize, and record data gathered during calibrations to prepare calibration reports and certificates in an organized manner.
    * Understand measurement errors and contributing factors that may result in inaccurate measurements.
    * Communicate with other technicians, managers, internal and external customers and vendors.
    * Comply with all required ISO standards.
    * Must be able to follow detailed procedures with limited or no supervision.
    * Must be dependable and have a solid work ethic
    * Basic welding or torch skills.
    * Must be able to use and properly care for precision measurement equipment.
    * Ability to work in an on-call rotation and overtime as needed.

    Qualifications

    * A valid state issued driver's license, with a clean driving record; a CDL Class B or the ability to obtain a CDL preferred
    * Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and consent to a random drug testing program
    * Must be able to pass technical proficiency assessments.
    * Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; military experience in measurement and diagnostic equipment or secondary education in a technical discipline.

    Physical Requirements

    * Ability to frequently move test equipment, up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
    * Occasionally lift equipment greater than 50 pounds with assistance.
    * Ability to occasionally position self by climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
    * Must be able to operate a computer and read procedures from a monitor or from printouts.
    * Ability to stand, stoop, or sit for long periods as testing requires.
    * Capability to move about inside a lab, office, and various manufacturing environments.
    * Able to work in various weather conditions. (heat, cold, rain…)

    Above Functional knowledge and Qualifications are strongly preferred but we will train the right person.
