    - Experience with safety requirements or procedures in a manufacturing setting.
    - Previous experience within the automotive industry an asset.
    - Previous experience working with robotics an asset.
    - Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts and such as 5-S, SMED, etc.
    - Ability to read engineering drawings, standard work instructions, safety instructions and maintenance records.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    * Completion of approved Province of Ontario Industrial Electrical Apprenticeship for Trade 442A preferred; with 9000 hours related experience and/or training.
    * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to describe problems and solutions with other employees of organization.
    * Ability to work with electrical mathematical concepts such as resistance, wire calculations, electromotive force, terminal voltages, analysis of series and parallel circuits, and trigonometry. Compute metric conversions, weights, measures, linear equations, formulae and shop calculations. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
    *Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    * Proficient in the using machine shop equipment and in the use of hand, power, and measuring tools.

    Required Qualifications and Experience:

    * Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrics, and welding.

    What is the job?

    * Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in maintenance shop
    * Requires standing, walking, reaching and bending for periods of time across all areas of the facility. Ability to lift up to 30lbs in a safe manner.
    * Reliable attendance and punctuality; flexibility in work schedule to accommodate business requirements; including weekends and rotating shifts
    * Some repairs will be conducted in high or low temperature and/or confined space

    Essential Skills and Qualifications

    * Minimum 3 years relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment
    * Must have a valid Ontario industrial electrician trade license
    * Hands on experience with PLC's, logic controllers and variable speed drives
    * Experience reading diagrams and schematics drawings
    * PLC programming on controls and automation experience would be an asset
    * Hands on experience on panel troubleshooting, servo drives, plant controls, and highly automated packaging would be considered an asset
    * Experience in a food manufacturing environment would be considered a definite asset

    * Completion of an approved apprenticeship preferred.
