Job Summary: Working in a Manufacturing and Research Environment with a minimum of 3 years laboratory experience as an Analytical Technician running analytical techniques.

What Is the Job?

This position is responsible for chemical testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.

The candidate will conduct analytical testing on lithium battery materials with strict adherence to established procedures.

Evaluation of data is based on internal and external specifications.

The candidate will evaluate products and interact with the Production Team to provide feedback and verify materials meet product specifications.

The key activities include the safe, accurate and timely measurement of sample preparations, and measurements of chemical and physical properties. Instrumentation that is utilized for these measurements include ICP/EOS, XRD, Real Density Pycnometer, Surface area analyzer, particle size analyzer, viscosity, solids content, pH, moisture content, tap and bulk density, thermal gravimetric analysis and SEM. These key activities will be conducted under the guidance of laboratory staff and established written procedures.

A developed proficiency in workflow management and prioritization is necessary to support the speed of production.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to adapt to changing priorities.

Must be able to lift up to 30-45 pounds on occasion, requires sitting, standing, walking.

Lab Technicians will work flexible schedules including weekends as needed to meet the analytical test schedules.

One (1) year of related experience required - Experience running the instrumentation described in the duties and responsibilities section is of benefit

Detail-oriented and organized with an ability to work independently.

Able to lift up to 25-30 pounds repetitively.

Ability to effectively read, write and speak English

Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, and reach within hands and arms-length

Someone with a "Yes, can do!" Attitude.

Able to pass a Background Check and Drug Screen.

High School or equivalent is required.
