Job Description

Processes purchase requisitions from internal customers and turns those requisitions into purchase orders.

◾Analyzes demand of materials through use of MRP, visual inventory analysis and other methods to ensure ready supply of materials at appropriate levels and in a timely manner to prevent manufacturing stock outs.

◾Provides suppliers necessary information to satisfy requests, orders, and deliveries. Including, but not limited, to drawings, specifications, forecasts, historical data, QA/RA requirements, etc.

◾Creates PO's timely and is responsible for accurate data on purchase orders inclusive of price, quantity and delivery date.

◾Tracks goods receipts to PO's and ensures ERP system accuracy for timely payment to suppliers and internal visibility.

◾Reports status of PO deliveries and past due deliveries to stakeholders.

◾Ensures all ECN's, NCR's and Purchase Order deviations are completed timely and communicated clearly with suppliers.

◾Participates in process improvement activities to improve supplier and/or department performance.

◾Effectively manages supplier quality issues within a timely manner.

◾Establishes and maintains relationships with suppliers, understands their capabilities, capacity, and performance.

◾Identifies cost savings opportunities within area of spend and/or entire company spend where possible.

◾Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of the Purchasing Manager.
