Crop Protection Area Sales Rep

Manpower is currently seeking a Crop Protection Area Sales Rep for a 12 to 18 month contract for one of our Clients, major supplier crop protection products. This position will be a home-office based position in the Brandon area, covering a Western Manitoba / Brandon territory.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing assigned Canadian strategic account relationships, working with area management to set the account strategies and executing the day-to-day operations as a member of the sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Maintain appropriate and frequent customer contact, build and maintain effective relationships

* Contribute to the formation of marketing strategies, communication strategies and distributor sales programs

* Identify and communicate customer needs and influence company responses

* Prepare and deliver effective sales and marketing presentations

* Time and manage call plans, call reports, correspondence, account planning & account penetration

* Identify and develop new business opportunities with emphasis on return on investment

* Manage interface between customer and the organization

* Monitor competitor activity, ensuring appropriated response strategies are formulated and communicated

* Participate and direct sales strategies for distributor accounts in the territory

* Ensure sales objectives are met, forecasted & aligned with financial objectives for assigned territory

* Ability to travel within the territory as required; up to 20%

Education / Experience:

* Bachelor of Science in a related Agricultural field

* 5 - 10 years' Canadian Agricultural Business Experience within the distribution channel

* 3 - 7 years of experience in Customer Relation Management

* Strong business and leadership skills

* Must be detail oriented, results focused and a self-starter with strong follow up skills

* Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills

* Demonstrated track record in delivering business results

* Must have strong leadership skills; team player abilities at all levels

* Proficiency in MS Office Suite

* Exceptional organizational and analytical skills

* Must be able to successfully pass a Criminal Record Check

* Valid Class 5 license with good driving record; company vehicle will be provided
