Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to perform and manage facilities-related duties. Reporting to the VP, Finance & Administration, this position will be heavily involved in day-to-day facilities operations and programs. You will be a key team member in a rapidly growing startup-like environment and be responsible for providing and maintaining working space and services that allow Blue River employees to do their best work.

● Management of building services for both Sunnyvale and Gilroy locations, including: janitorial, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, interior plant maintenance, and fire and life safety programs

● Management of vendor contracts and partners including adherence to contract terms and performance standards

● Coordination of preventive maintenance program for building systems with landlord

● Responsible for Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Fire Department Site Inspections and maintenance of associated records.

● Overseeing security program and coordinates with Deere Security Operations group

● Management of comprehensive EH&S program

● Furniture program management

● Refuge and recycling program management, including e-waste

● Tenant improvement and building repairs project management

● Space planning and move coordination

● Fleet vehicle program for company-owned vehicles

● Company-owned bicycle program

● Be a resource to teammates and managers on company policies, practices, and regulations

● Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

● Minimum of 7 years' experience managing facilities operations for >100 employees with multiple locations in California

● In-depth understanding of local, state and federal standards and regulations pertaining to the operations of a facility and relevant environmental, health and safety practices and policies.

● Sound judgement and problem-solving skills

● Customer-focused attitude with high level of professionalism and demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders

● Excellent communication skills

● Service-oriented approach to facilities work
