Manpower of Crawfordsville, IN is partnering with a leading manufacturing facility to obtain an outstanding Human Resources Assistant for a direct hire opportunity. SUMMARY

Responsible for providing efficient and effective support to the Human Resources (HR) Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

o Maintains the highest level of confidentiality regarding employee relations.

o Supports the maintenance of personnel files by ensuring all documentation is present and filed appropriately.

o Assists with some payroll functions such as documentation and data entry.

o Assist with the employment procedures, documentation and scheduling of physical and drug screen with new perspective employees.

o Trains on employee Benefit Administration with limited responsibility.

o When time allows, assists as necessary with other company functions.

o Attends continuing education seminars that are relevant to this job description.

o Supports and promotes a positive employee relations environment within the facility.

o Actively encourages an employee safety culture, welfare, and wellness plan within the company.

o Assists with interviews, and selection of employees to fill vacancies.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma and zero (0) to three (3) years related experience and/or training.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from employee's customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write documents that conform to prescribed style and business format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Ability to successfully work with spreadsheets, databases, office software, corporate interfaces and programs applicable with job function.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts applicable to this individual job function.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions as applicable with job function.
