Pay rate $15.00



Position Summary: Heat Treating Operators set up, operate, or tend heating equipment, such as heat-treating furnaces, flame-hardening machines, soaking pits, or equipment to temper, harden, anneal, or heat-treat metal.

In the event of uncertainty or lack of knowledge of Company policies and procedures, employees are required to request clarification or explanations from superiors or authorized company representatives. * Controls heat-treating equipment to alter physical and chemical properties of metal objects, using specifications and methods of controlled heating and cooling such as hardening, tempering, annealing, case-hardening and normalizing * Determines the temperature and time of the heating cycles as well as loading parts into the furnace * Remove parts after prescribed time and quenches parts in water, oil, brine etc. to allow the parts to cool. * Support furnace PM, repair and investigate activities when needed * Work with production personnel, maintenance and other engineer to troubleshoot machine issues as well as to plan and implement improvement projects *

Required Skills:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. * Have 1 years of experience in industrial / manufacturing preferred * Must be able to handle complex work procedures * Must have knowledge or the ability to learn basic to moderate understanding of the metallurgical effects of steel. * Ability to apply extensive planning, attention to detail and use of good judgement. * Must be a team player * Must be open to learning and suggesting new approaches and techniques with the heat treatment process.



Experience & Education * High School Diploma or GED Equivalent * Forklift certification * Able to read English
