Job Description

The Project Manager will serve as the go-to person for project management of the implementation of Tyler Technologies EnerGov Software. EnerGov is a flexible software solution designed to automate and centrally connect critical processes, including permitting, planning regulatory management, inspections, code enforcement and more.

In particular, the Project Manager will be responsible for project management of this implementation. In this role the Project Manager is expected to be well-versed in project management, be organized, methodical and detail-orientated and keep the team on track for all major milestones. They must demonstrate a high degree of professionalism in their interactions with internal colleagues, as well as clients and be calm under pressure, able to work in a constantly changing and growing environment while delivering consistent results.

• Acts as an IT project management subject matter expert (SME) and leads the support of project management objectives through the definition, development and execution of IT projects in accordance with organizational priorities.
• Selects and leads cross-functional project teams and facilitates project meetings.
• Partners with key stakeholders to define the scope and requirements of assigned projects. Anticipates internal/external business challenges to effectively develop detailed work breakdown structures, schedules, estimates, and resource management plans.
• Performs need, trend, feasibility and performance assessments to ensure business requirements are fulfilled, risks are mitigated, and value is optimized.
• Manages the integration of vendor tasks and monitors associated deliverables.
• Tracks performance to operating plans, budgets, forecasts and/or schedules.
• Maintains project documentation and monitors and communicates status to IT leadership and key stakeholders. May indirectly coach and supervise employees and/or teams responsible for this project.
• Experience with software implementation
• Experience with any 3rd party software implementation
• Ability to communicate effectively including conveying technical information to technical and non-technical users..

• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems, Information Systems, Business Administration, Public Administration, Planning, Geography, Natural Science, Engineering or closely related field.
• Four (4) years of full-time experience managing the implementation and support of information technology projects.
• Formal training in project management and tools likeMicrosoft Project.
• Formal Project Management Certification (PMP), or ability to obtain within THE first year of employment.
• State of Florida Driver’s License requiredor possession of an out of state license and the ability to obtain a Florida Driver’s License within 10 days of employment.
