Manpower Mississauga is hiring a payroll/ benefits associate for an industry leading, innovative and 100% Canadian Company!

The Job:

* Responsible for informing employees of benefits and pension eligibility, verifying validity of claim forms and maintaining accurate benefit records. Performing routine clerical duties such as maintaining letters, payments, and other employee forms.

* Support the completion of project work, such as but not limited to, pension file clean up, mass-producing memorandums for email or paper based communication, the annual Open Enrollment for active employees and the launch of the new Retiree benefits admin solution.

* Regular interaction with the external Benefits and Pension plan administrators, and Insurance Carrier(s) regarding employee requests and or issues, related to plan participation, setup and processing requirements. Ultimately to find resolution to issues.

* Assist in the administration and clerical support of monthly benefits and pension data checks (e.g. enrolment/election forms)

* Will support the Pension lead in maintaining pension plan information, supporting pension related processes, monthly payment remittances, assist with annual pension audit and year-end tasks.

* Will need to work with current filling system to manage employee records (paper-based and electronic)

* Generate HRIS, Payroll and all HR related reports on a bi-weekly/monthly/yearly or ad hoc basis to support coordination activities associated with Benefits and Pension related tasks

* Make adjustments, resolve errors and reconcile monthly and year-end reports; record and track data concerning the movement of employees between departments, salaries and all activities associated with the employee life cycle.

* Other duties as assigned

What you bring:

* High School/College Diploma in Human Resources, Health Science, Social Sciences or related discipline

* Minimum 2 years' work experience in an office environment

* Minimum 2 years' work experience in and administrative/client focused role

* Work experience and knowledge in pension and benefits administration required

* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

* Highly organized, detail oriented individual, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task

* Must have intermediate to advanced command of MS Office particularly with Word and Excel

* Prior experience with People Soft, and Lotus Notes is beneficial, and experience with Ceridian DayForce is highly preferred

* Demonstrated effective and productive work style in terms of time management, setting objectives and priorities and following up on commitments across a variety of work challenges

* Ability to work in a fast paced environment, with multiple parallel projects and track record of meeting tight timelines

* Previous experience with confidential information

* Bilingualism (English and French); preferred but not required.
